GPA Calculator
Compute weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale from course letter grades and credits.
Add each course you want to include. Select the letter grade from the dropdown and enter the number of credits the course is worth. Use the add and remove buttons to manage your course list.
The calculator multiplies each grade's point value by its credits, sums the weighted points, and divides by the total credits to give your GPA. Grades follow the standard scale where A is 4.0, B is 3.0, C is 2.0, D is 1.0, and F is 0, with plus and minus steps in between.
Leave the course name blank if you only care about the numbers, or use it to keep track of which class each row represents.
Frequently asked questions
What grade scale does this calculator use?
It uses the common 4.0 scale with plus and minus grades: A=4.0, A-=3.7, B+=3.3, B=3.0, B-=2.7, C+=2.3, C=2.0, C-=1.7, D=1.0, F=0.
What if I have weighted or honors classes?
This calculator uses an unweighted 4.0 scale. For weighted GPA, add the extra grade points your school assigns to honors or AP classes before entering them here.
Can I enter courses with zero credits?
Rows with zero credits are ignored in the weighted calculation because they cannot contribute to a credit-weighted average.
